Tanabata es el proyecto artístico de Silvia Alberdi y Tone Alexandru. Ambos realizan su obra de forma individual, así como composiciones mixtas donde fusionan su visión creativa. Todas las obras están realizadas de forma artesanal y son piezas únicas.

Tanabata is the artistic project of Silvia Alberdi, painter and Tone Alexandru, collage artist. They both create their works on their own and mixing compositions where their creativity is merged together. All their pieces are handmade and unique.

Dicen que empezó a pintar antes que a hablar, y sus compañeras de colegio la recuerdan como esa niña que siempre estaba dibujando en clase. Hija y nieta de artistas se crió entre pinturas, cámaras de fotos y caballetes. Varios años en Tokio le sirvieron para adquirir esa atmósfera delicada que es el eje central de su obra. Escritora e ilustradora realiza sus proyectos editoriales en París, ciudad donde residió varios años. Actualmente vive en Madrid donde junto con Alexandru Tone realiza su labor de acuarelista mientras explora el collage y da rienda suelta a todo su proceso creativo.

Tardé mucho en descubrir que el mundo necesita personas que dibujen.

They say she started painting before she even know how to talk, and their former school mates remember her as that kid who would not stop drawing in class. Daughter and granddaughter of artists, she grew up surrounded by photo cameras, paintings and trestles. Several years living in Tokio helped her acquire that delicate shadow that is essential to her work. Writer and illustrator, she develops her editorial projects in Paris, city where she lived for some years. She is currently living in Madrid where, with Alexandru Tone, develops her craft as watercolorist while she explores the art of collage and lets her creative imagination wander.

Creció escuchando la música clásica envuelto en la quietud de los largos inviernos en su Rumanía natal. Su pasión por la naturaleza le hizo compaginar sus inquietudes artísticas con la formación de atleta profesional. Así fue como su obra empezó a reflejar la profundidad que el deporte confiere a la vida: una carrera de fondo, donde la energía es fundamental para avanzar. Pronto descubrió en el collage una forma de expresarse sin limitaciones. En 2012 se instala en Madrid, cuidad donde comienzan su etapa más fructífera y donde la obra va ganando profundidad. Este artista realiza a mano todas sus composiciones. su lenguaje visual se caracteriza por la crítica, el surrealismo y un particular sentido del humor, algunas de sus obras nos pueden dejar sin aliento.

He grew up listening to classical music, surrounded by the quiet of the long winters of his natal Romania. His passion for nature made him combine his artistic interests with his career as a professional athlete. That was how his pieces started to reflect the depth that sports nurture a live with: a long distance race where energy is fundamental to move forward. He soon discovered that collage was a way of expressing himself without limitations. In 2012 he moved to Madrid, city where his most fruitful stage begins and where his works mature. This artist hand makes all his compositions. His visual language is characterised by critic, surrealism and a particular sense of humour. Some of his pieces can leave us breathless.
